You make only your franchise's picks, across up to five straight drafts, and the simulator then projects the rebuilt roster season by season, with a win-loss record for each year, the titles it would have won and a verdict on the whole run.

No. Every projected season assumes all of your players are healthy and available, and the simulator never forecasts or simulates an injury. Player ratings follow each player's real season-by-season level, so a year someone actually missed is carried over rather than counted as a lost season, and nobody's run is cut short mid-dynasty. The idea is that your record reflects the picks you made rather than luck you couldn't control. The one thing that does end a player's contribution is a career that genuinely finished: in the seasons projected after your final draft, a player whose real career had ended by then drops off the roster and your own drafted depth moves up.

Your run is scored on the wins you added, not on the raw record. The starting point is the franchise's real regular-season record in the season before your first draft, scaled to 82 games. The simulator then projects your rebuilt roster season by season through every draft you play and three further seasons after the last one, and takes your best year from that whole timeline, projected seasons included. The difference between the two is your score, so rebuilding a 20-win team counts for far more than improving a team that was already winning. That win improvement is also how the weekly leaderboard is ranked.
